This breakfront was probably made in the 1920's.  It is mahogany veneer.  There are three doors on the top of the unit.  Each compartment is divided into three shelves.      The center of the bottom has four drawers and two side compartment which are divided by three shelves.   The bottom three drawers have dovetails.

The top drawer is a butler's secretary, the face of the drawer opens down and the drawer has compartments for paper and a small drawer. The secretary can be easily lifted out for a full drawer.  This is quite a heavy unit and is a reproduction of a 1820's period.  All the pulls and shelves are the original material.

It measures 84" from the floor to the point of the finial, 48" across and 14" + a bit width at the floor.
