Skilled Trades Technician – Energy Division Search #118

Skilled Trades Technician, Fort Hays State University, Energy Division. 

Hours - October to April heating season-24/7 shifts

Remainder of year 7 AM to 3:30 PM with a few exceptions.

Minimum Requirements:     High School Diploma or GED equivalency

                                                Three years’ experience in some skilled craft area

                                                Prefer experience in electrical or mechanical trades

Tasks: Operation, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment as in boilers, generators, pumps and valves.  Work involves all aspects of boiler operation to include general maintenance and repair of related Energy Division/Power Plant equipment. Follow written and oral procedures, reading and recording gauges and water testing. 

 

Salary/Benefits:  13.28/hour, $0.30 shift differential when applicable.  Plus benefit package
