2002 Jeep Liberty 4x4 3.7 with knock in engine. Upon reading reviews I'm assuming it's a rod. There is a loan on vehicle, however, bank related there would be no problem with releasing it. Son only had it 10 months when motor started knocking. Problem is for what it would cost us to get rebuilt or overhaul engine it will be more than vehicle is worth with him still having a loan to pay off as well. If I was mechanical inclined I would overhaul it but I'm not. I checked on overhaul kit and pricing ranged from 500-700. I checked on Internet for pricing. Would make a good vehicle if your a person that can do the work yourself!
