Description

"Prairie Allegro" limited edition print by Cally Krallman. Numbered (32/100) and signed by artist. Measures 17.5" by 14.25" (with mat & frame).

“Any artist can see the grandeur of the great mountains and oceans, but to find beauty in the simplest of rocky plains, tall native grasses, back roads, meandering creeks, and fields of grain takes someone who loves the region...loves the plains,” says Cally about her vision. “Regional art plays an important role in American history. I feel it not only records our place in time, but it is a window for others to see the ordinary in a not so ordinary way. I try to share that in each painting I create.”

Cally has been painting the Midwest for nearly 20 years. She is a graduate of Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas, with a degree in fine arts. Throughout her professional career, her work has continued to gain attention from the arts world. Included among her impressive list of exhibitions are: National Agriculture Hall of Fame; Homage to the Flint Hills traveling exhibit; Kansas Masters Invitational; Symphony in the Flint Hills (print winner); and guest artist for the Sunflower Music Festival. She has been published in Kansas! Magazine; American Art Collector; and the Bonner Springs Chieftan. Cally is a member of Oil Painters of America and American Women Artists. Her work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections. In addition to her visual arts accomplishments, Cally is a talented singer and song writer with three albums recorded in the past several years.
