Smoky Hills Public Television seeks a creative, self-motivated Producer/Director.  Responsibilities will include all aspects of video production in all genres.  Applicants need to have strong communication & organizational skills that can work in a team environment or individually with little supervision on multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of Final Cut and Photoshop with experience producing taped and live productions preferred.  Applicants should submit resume, video samples and professional references to hr@shptv.org.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of taped and live video productions

• Produce, Direct, Shoot and Edit short and long form pieces

• Contribute ideas for show elements

• Deliver final products in multiple formats for multiple platforms

Qualifications:

• Smoky Hills Public Television/PBS product knowledge

• Knowledge of Central & Western Kansas

• Strong Communication and Organizational Skills

• Experience using Final Cut Studio, Adobe Photoshop preferred

• Able to work flexible hours with some evenings & weekends

• Capable of handling various responsibilities and multiple projects simultaneously

• Able to work as team, while being able to work independently

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/TV Broadcasting or related field preferred

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required
