Springs of Hope is a one-day retreat for children who have experienced the loss of a parent. The event will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Goddard Place, 10 miles west and 2 ¼ miles north of Hill City.  It is expected that this will be an opportunity for families to meet, discuss their experiences, share coping mechanisms, practice new strategies for living with grief, and gain comfort and support from the understanding of others. Activities will be developed under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals and led by qualified volunteers.  Noon and evening meals will be served to all with overnight lodging provided for those who travel great distances.
