Highway Maintenance Supervisor

The Kansas Department of Transportation is currently hiring a Highway Maintenance Supervisor position in Russell. This position is a full-time, unclassified position with benefits.  Position requires two years highway maintenance experience, and one year of lead worker experience. Candidate should possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing and be proficient in the operation of personal computers.  This CDL position is subject to drug and alcohol testing under the authority of the US Department of Transportation.  Valid unrestricted driver’s license is required at the time of hire.  On-the-job training is provided to obtain a CDL within sixty days.  A pre-employment physical test is required.  An annual $250 Personal Protection Equipment allowance is available.  Health insurance including dental and vision insurance are provided at a minimal cost.  Other benefits include vacation and sick leave.  Salary begins at $17.39/hourly.  Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
