Description

Hello, I am selling my 1986 Mazda RX7. Due to recent changes in my life I cannot give this car the attention it deserves. With some time, work and love, this car can be a solid autocross, race, or street driven car.

The non turbo engine and transmission has been pulled out to install the turbo engine and transmission, (for the swap I have ALL of the parts needed, it just needs done). I haven't installed any turbo parts yet other than an ECU. I also have almost all of the NA parts if you'd rather go down that path. Since the engine is out of the engine bay, if you are looking for a V8 swap this is a good start.

For the turbo swap:
Blitz blow off valve. Still in box.
Brand new Air flow meter
Pineapple racing Block off plates (for BAC, EGR, ACV, OMP, sub zero, and split air). Brand new.
Turbo boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge. I bought all adapters to make it work. Made by Glowshift. Tinted style. All brand new.
Misc pieces for gauge install (wire extension kit, pipe adapters, water temp gauge install kit)
Racing Beat oil filter adapter for the gauges. Brand new
Gauge housing for aftermarket gauges Fuel cut defender (needed for high boost, boost over I think 8psi cuts fuel to rear rotor stock) All new.
ECU out of a 88 turbo RX7 (installed in the car)
Turbo Jspec ECU out of an 87
Leather covers for the ebrake and shifter
Corksport braided oil cooler lines
Tanabe brand front strut bar (new)
Mazdatrix brand drive shaft (new)
Turbo boost sensor
Kenwood stereo
Extra turbo inlet duct
Extra engine harness
Battery relocation kit. It is 99% done, just need a cable ran to the starter.
Steel transmission mount
Polyurethane motor mounts from Banzai racing
Brand new interior pieces from the dealer (bezels, surrounds, etc)
Ebrake has new parts.
A few misc interior pieces I've picked up to replace the crappy old interior pieces.
I replaced the headlights with replacements that have LEDs in them. Don't like them? I kept the stock ones.
Still in box KOYO High flow radiator
Custom LED Taillights done myself. Don't like it? I kept all of the parts to bring it back to stock. I have the older style taillights that came with this car still as well. You can have all of them.
The windows are tinted, one of the windows has the tint removed since it was peeling. The other window and the rear window are still tinted.
Aftermarket rims and tires, I'm not positive what brand. I don't have the stock wheels.

I also installed a walbro 255 fuel pump.

I'm sure I have more stuff but that is what I can think of right now, but you can have everything I have related to this car upon purchase.

Some facts:

Chassis and naturally aspirated engine has 163xxx miles on it. The engine and transmission is not in the car. Engine and transmission runs fine. I don't have any way to check compression. The engine and transmission that came with this car are in decent shape, just need a few new hoses and dropped back into the chassis and it will work.

I won't lie to you. The turbo engine isn't in perfect shape. The rotors are trash. The housings are questionable. It needs cleaned really bad. It was inspected and pulled apart by Jesse Prather motorsports in Topeka, feel free to call or email him and ask him about the shape of the engine. I was going to have him rebuild the engine and port it, but I have to part with this project. Worst case scenario, you have a good transmission and some decent accessories.

The passenger side door's latch is broken so the door won't shut. I have a replacement part, but I haven't had an opportunity to fix it. It has been kept shut with bungie cords.

I've pulled most of the parts out of the engine bay so that I could clean it and sand out some rust. I've completely sanded down the engine bay and repainted it with truck bed liner for durability. I did this almost a year ago so it is done, but I haven't had a chance to put anything back in. I have all the parts still they just need put back in.

This car has largely sat for 3 years. I have a glove compartment full of receipts from previous owners maintaining this car. The guy before me pulled the engine to put a v8 in it but lost interest. The exterior isn't in the best shape. There is a small amount of rust, and some clear coat peeling. It is a 29 year old car, these things happen.

I have the title in hand and ready to sign over. Cash or PayPal only please.

The front bumper is not attached to the car at the moment, but I do have it.

Due to circumstances out of my control, I cannot transport it anywhere. Sorry.

This car is located in Salina, KS 67401.

I have this car listed in several locations locally and online, so this might deal might not last long. Please contact me with any questions you have. Please keep in mind I work 2 jobs so may or may not get back to you very quickly. Thanks.

$1,600 OBO. If you just want one engine/transmission or you just want the shell, let me know.
