PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:

 Primary responsibilities  are to perform production work, conduct operations on job sites and provide excellent customer service of lawn care and landscape work.

1. Service work: Performs lawn care and landscape work including mowing, bed maintenance, fertilizing, spraying, aerations, seeding, retaining wall construction, patio construction, drainage solutions, sod installation, sprinkler system repair and installation, water feature installation, etc.

2. Customer Service: Directs customers to immediate supervisor for all potential sales, customer service issues or complaints. Completes requested services in order to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.

3. Work Schedule: Must work hours needed to achieve production, including working Saturdays as required during peak season or as requested by Managers.

4. Vehicles & equipment: Uses vehicles and equipment in a safe, appropriate fashion; promptly reports any defects or damage to manager. Insures safety compliance is always in use while operating equipment.

5. Responsibility: Conducts actual day-to-day work, leveraging knowledge and experience to assist completion of production work within a timely manner, and participates in customer service functions, as required.

Mapping / routes - insures knowledge and location of assigned work sites

Licensing / recertification -  Stays current on any achieved licenses or industry certifications

Route assignments  - insures perfect production work every time and conducts quality customer service

Daily production and performance - fills out paper work correctly and completes daily tasks in time

Customer service - is a must, politely & quickly connecting the customer with your immediate supervisor

Materials and equipment - responsible for learning equipment and materials uses

Regulatory issues safety equipment - using safety at all times and following safety rules and regulations

Supports order within shop, trucks and trailers by insuring correct inventory and tool placement

Inventory  - cleanup work area

Clean / organize storage areas  - keep trucks, trailers clean and free of debris

Supplies - notifying immediate supervisor when products become low and need reordered

6. Other: Assists supervisor with other assigned duties, as requested.

Performance Measures:

 1. Service work: 

·         Completes all tasks assigned to specified quality levels by agreed upon deadlines

·         Meets or exceeds specified performance goals for assigned tasks

·         Listens to immediate supervisor and follows instruction without complaint

2. Work schedule:

·         Available to complete each weeks tasks prior to weekend break

·         Available for emergency call ins and responds timely

·         Punctuality with daily work schedule

3. Customer service: 

·         Supports immediate supervisor and company in customer service goals

·         Receives no complaints from customers

4. Vehicles & equipment: 

·         Meets or exceeds standards for safe, proper use of vehicles and equipment 

·         Reports all defects or damage to vehicles or equipment to immediate supervisor

·         Ensure safety equipment is being used with every task

 5. Job duties:

·         Capable of completing regular work

·         Accomplishes projects and daily requirements as outlined by Supervisor

·         Ensure continued compliance of requirements listed in lawn / landscape Tech duties

 6. Other: 

·         Completes all additional tasks assigned to specified quality levels by agreed upon deadlines

Duties as Lawn care / landscape Technician include but are not limited to:

Learning all Training in production and application techniques, spraying and lawn / landscape  construction and maintenance.

Conducts quality daily work.

Completes work tickets lawn care and landscape construction.

Provides quality customer service.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to stand and work for 8 hours per day.

2. Must be able to walk, bend, crouch, stoop, dig, rake.

3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

4. Must be able to legally operate vehicles and landscape equipment.

5. Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a commercial motor vehicle and must be able to pass physical examination requirements and drug & alcohol testing for a DOT medical card.

6. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers, in person and on the telephone.

7. Must be clean-shaven, well groomed and hair must be cut above collar.

8. Must be willing to pursue industry license and certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ÿ  Able to pass background check and drug test

Ÿ  Licensed motor vehicle driver

Ÿ  Must maintain knowledge of company service and production policies

Ÿ  Must be able to pass physical examination for work position

Ÿ  Able to pass a physical examination for job and achieve a DOT driving card
