Position Available

Grounds Technician, Fort Hays State University Grounds Department. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend hours or extra hours as required.
 
Minimum requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalency. One year of experience in the operation of medium and light duty equipment and a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
 
Tasks: Primary duty will be to operate a variety of equipment. Examples are: tractors, trucks, riding mower, walk behind mower, edger, string trimmer and a variety of hand tools. Additional duties include assisting in the snow removal operation, trash collection, spray applications and general grounds maintenance work.
 
Salary/Benefits: $12.35/hour, plus benefit package
 
Position deadline: Accepting applications until Friday, May 27, 2016. Start date will be determined after acceptance of offer and completion of criminal background check.
