Description

The City of Hays’ Police Department is looking for a full time Records Clerk.  This office position performs general clerical and accounting duties, provides citizen assistance, collects fines and maintains departmental records and reports.  Applicant must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.  Job offer is contingent on pre-employment physical.

REQUIREMENTS

A High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years relevant experience required.  A technical degree or some college credit preferred.  Excellent organizational skills, office technology and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to read and interpret legal documents, reports and records. Applicant must reside, or be willing to reside, in Ellis County

within 6 months.

COMPENSATION

Pay range:  $12.66-$19.46/hour.  Starting wage based on experience.  The City of Hays offers great benefits including health insurance, KPERS, paid time off & holidays.
