We have a nice room for rent in Hays. It is in a decent size 3 bedroom 2 bath house (we only use 2 bedrooms). Your room would be upstairs, there is an upstairs bathroom. Rent is split by room ($700 total rent $350 a room) and the bills are split per person. We do have 2 dogs and a cat, so if you don't like animals then this is not the house for you!
