The early days of ranching and trail driving required stamina and determination.  The drover of yesteryear had little choice but to face the elements placed before him if he was to get his wild cattle to market.  Jim Gray of Ellsworth will cover this topic at the Kansas Day Program hosted by the Trego County Historical Society on Sunday, January 22.  The program will be held at the Historical Society museum located at 128 N. 13th, in WaKeeney starting at 2 p.m.
