The Rush County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff.  The Sheriff's Office consists of 7 full time LEO's with equipment furnished.  Deputies have scheduled overtime and work a 6 on 3 off rotating schedule.  Minimum starting pay is $17.02 for non-certified, certified negotiable depending on experince.  Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Kansas driver's license, pass a background investigation, drug screening, polygraph and physical examination.  No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions.  Applicants must reside in or relocate to Rush County.  Applications can be obtained from the Rush County Sheriff's Office 715 Elm Box 495, LaCrosse, KS  67548.  For applications or questions contact the Sheriff's Office at 785 222-2578.  Applications accepted until position filled.
