DESCRIPTION
Colby Community College is accepting applications for a Beef Production Program Director/Instructor, with the potential to coach livestock judging. This nine-month position begins in August 2017. Candidate should establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, administrators, and faculty. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will assess student learning and application of course objectives and competencies, along with designing, developing, and maintaining course curriculum. Participation in various professional activities, such as actively serving on program advisory committees with area businesses, recruiting and advising students is expected.  Must understand the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, and ability to work as a team to increase enrollment in a rural setting.  

Responsibilities include the overall planning and daily management of the college farm beef unit, the college herd and the instruction of selected courses. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in bovine nutrition or related field preferred. 
  • Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.

 

SALARY
Upper 30s, depending on credentials.
