Smokey is an 18 year old, approximately 13hh, grade POA. Smokey is an all -around pleasure pony! He’s been used as a teacher for many years, and used in 4H. He’s qualified for State with his girl this year! He received reserve grabs champion At the state fair this past Friday! At the county 4H show, he received mostly blues and purples (see picture in the slide show). Not only is he great in the show pen, but he’s also great going down the road for a leisurely trail ride! He’s up to date on vaccinations and coggins. He has no health issues, and is sound. He just recently had his teeth floated. His feet are trimmed on a regular basis, and he goes barefoot. He stands for the vet and farrier. He stands to be bathed and clipped. This guy is very laid back and easy going. Definitely wants to be your friend. He’s an easy keeper, his current feed is brome and sweet feed. Now then, his vice is that he is lazy. So when you have to get after him to get him going sometimes he’ll try to nip your foot, or pop his hind end up about an inch off the ground. That being said, if you’re looking for a horse to teach your child how to become a better rider, to learn about respect, discipline, responsibility, humility, etc… Then, this is your guy!
