Description

We have one lamb ready for the butcher late March or April that hasn`t been spoken for yet.  They have only been fed, grass, brome grass hay, and alfalfa. Last year we butchered 2 and got 40 lbs of meat off one and 45 off of the other. The sooner you let us know, the sooner we can schedule with the butcher. Butcher costs and communicating with the butcher on cuts will be BUYER`S responsibility, as well as picking up the meat from the butcher. however, we will take it to the butcher (B and B) in Larned with ours if that is where you want it processed. Get any cuts you would like. In previous years we have gotten lamb chops, leg of lamb, shoulder steak, ribs, and ground, and they all have been great. Butchering costs last year ran about $75, but I cannot gaurantee the price for butcher as it is based on weight. The other option is butchering it yourself! We are selling the lamb for $180, and will do what we can to help arrange butchering. That means $180 for the lamb, $75 to the butcher. That makes about $255 for 40-45 lbs of lamb, or $5.67 to $6.38 per pound of grass fed lamb meat of any cuts you choose, while the store is selling it $7/lb for ground and $15/lb for chops. You can't beat that deal!
