Mitchell County Rural Water District #2, a locally owned and independently operated water utility in Glen Elder, KS is seeking applications for the position of District Manager. This position is responsible for the operation of a surface water treatment plant and 350 mile water distribution system serving 4,600 customers that includes another RWD district and six cities. The District Manager reports to the RWD 2 Board. The District Manager will supervise 3-4 employees. The District Manager must be experienced in the operation of a surface water treatment plant processes and regulatory requirments. An applicant must possess or be willing to possess a Kansas Water Operator Class 2, 3 Certificate or Class 4 Certificate within 6 months of hire. Salary will be based on experience, with excellent benefit package including paid BCBS health insurance, Life Insurance and KPERS.
