We are having to rehome our 8 month old hairless crested. She is a great dog, but she is a little too hyper for us and I am pregnant so it would be best if she went to a home where she would be a better fit. She does require special care since she is a hairless. She needs to be bathed about once a week and she has some skin allergies that the vet recommended 1/4 of Benadryl twice a day. She loves to be outside but does not like being on a leash. She is puppy pad trained for when she is indoors. During extreme weather(hot/cold) she should be inside. When she goes out for a long time, she should wear clothes and/or sunscreen so she doesn’t get burned. You can use lotion on her when her skin is dry, but make sure it is unscented and won’t clog her pores, she breaks out easily. She is extremely playful and somewhat clingy and timid. Once she settles down she is pretty calm. She would do great with other small dogs, but again, she’s extremely playful. She loves to play with our 4 year old shihtzu. She has restarted her puppy shots since her previous owners waited too long, but she is up to date on them. She weighs around 8lbs. She is not fixed and she is currently in heat so sometimes she wears diapers since she’s bleeding. She doesn’t bleed that much but will leave spots when she sits/lays down. She will come with a lot of her clothes, her shampoo, some of her dog food, her diapers, and her Benadryl. Please do your research on these dogs because they really are wonderful. She’s a huge cuddle bug and loves everyone she meets. Had I not been pregnant, she would still be with us. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
