Western Plains Energy is accepting applications for the position of Lab Technician.

This position is responsible for maintaining the objectives set forth in the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program. Technician will ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting policies, goals and objectives of the company.

No previous ethanol experience necessary, will train the right person.

Qualifications:

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and multiple priorities simultaneously
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, positive attitude and team player.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements

• Able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and ladders on a routine basis.
• Able to follow shift work schedule and work extended hours as needed.
• Scheduled hourly position 7am-5 pm, 3 days off per week, every other weekend.
• Participation in safety programs and ongoing training programs is required.
