I'm looking for my 73 Jeep J-4000 that I sold to someone in Wichita about 10 years ago. They sold it to someone, and then it was sold again from what I was told. According to my research, its VIN hasn't been registered since I last owned it. Any help or information is greatly appreciated, I'm looking to buy it back if the current owner is willing to sell.
These pictures are how it looked when I owned it and I believe it was still the same when it was sold the second time. It had a Dodge Dana 61 front axle with wheel spacers and hydraulic assist steering, van width 14 bolt rear axle, AMC 360 engine, TH400 transmission, and Quadra-trac transfer case. It had grooved 39.5" Super Swamper TSL's on 15x10 white wagon wheels. The flat black paint was fading and coming off when I sold it and I don't think it was repainted before it was sold again.
it had RampageFSJ painted on the rear differential cover in red, and the bottom of the cover and axle had been shaved and smoothed
the front and rear suspension was moved under the frame for the lift
the rear part of the frame was boxed where the suspension mounted
the very rear of the frame was modified for the rear bumper
it had a V-style tailgate and I believe it still had a bedside toolbox mounted to the bed floor.
The fender flares are removed, and the rest of the body was pretty rust free and fairly straight
if I remember correctly, there may be a little bit of welding spatter on the front windshield.
If anyone has any information, please message me on here. Again I greatly appreciate any help, and I'm not sure how it would work since I've never done such a thing before, but I may be willing to pay for GOOD information leading to my old Jeep. I'm based out of Ulysses, KS. I just put Wichita since that's where it was last known to be.
