Position Summary:Under the direction and supervision of the department management, the financial analyst performs professional accounting work, including analyzing and verifying fiscal records and reports; preparing financial and statistical reports; entering and reconciling general ledger accounts; assists in preparing the annual budget; preparing year-end audit reports and schedules; preparing physician incentive statements and bonus calculations; reviewing expenditures and coding for clinics; educating staff on clinic’s finances; uses good communication and customer service skills; uses professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing their duties; and uses equipment, materials, and systems according to policies, procedures, and practice standards.
Essential Functions:
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting or other related field required; previous accounting and physician practice management experience preferred; must be proficient with computer.
Certificates and Licenses: additional certification may be required for certain patient care settings or populations. Specific information and the timeframe in which such certification must be attained will be provided by the department director/manager/supervisor at time of hire/transfer into department.
