The driver will conform to the 60/70 rule and may be required to drive up to 11 hours and work 14 hours a day. Driver can be dispatch at any time through out the day and night.
Drives truck with capacity of gross vehicle weight up to 85,000, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.
· Drives tractor – trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations to deliver grain, feed, pullets, chicks, eggs, or other agriculture products.
· Maintains documents for goods delivered including inventory, mileage and trip expenses
· Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
· Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Loads and unloads truck.
· Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
· Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, alternators.
· Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit.
