Barton Community College, Grandview Plaza campus, seeks applications for a full-time Instructor/Director, OSHA Training Institute Education Center. Responsible for ensuring the OSHA Training Institute Education Center program including Host sites are operating in accordance with OSHA DTE and Great Plains OSHA Education Center (GPOEC) Consortium Lead agreements/directives; manage/supervise faculty and staff; develop class schedules for resident and online delivery; ensures HLC, KBOR and Dept. of Education requirements are maintained.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, 3-5 years of work experience in the Construction Industry or General Industry with a significant percentage of duties devoted to overseeing safety in the workplace. Two years of work experience may be waived with any of the following certifications: CIH, CSP, or Graduate degree or higher in the OSH field. Must be a current OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer and demonstrate experience/ability in teaching adults in a training/academic environment. Must possess interpersonal skills to work with supervisors and supervise others. Must have a good driving record and pass a background check.
A graduate degree in Occupational Safety & Health with Certified Environmental Safety & Health Trainer (CET) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other professional certification in field are preferred. Review of completed applications begins immediately.
