Dusty Creek Land and Cattle has a position open for farm and ranch help in the Damar, Kansas area.

 This is a full-time position which will include a combination of Farm and Cattle duties: tractor and implement work such as drilling, grain cart/combine operation, truck driving, cattle feeding, sorting, and handling, along with other general farm duties. The ideal candidate will have farming and cattle experience, and also some construction, welding, and mechanic experience would make for a great resume. 

At Dusty Creek we grow dryland crops and are utilizing variable rate fertilizing and seeding techniques while accessing yield maps, soil maps, and soil sampling to help determine rates.  We also plant cover crops to enhance soil and crop productivity. Livestock grazing is also used with the cover crop system.

Our livestock program is cow/calf base with some backgrounding of calves.  We do AI some of the herd each year.

We are beginning to incorporate drone technology to help enhance crop scouting and livestock observation.
