We are selling a 1964 S850 grain truck. It has a 534 c.i.d. gas V-8 engine, 5-speed manual transmission and 2-speed axles. We got this truck as a "package deal" with something else we bought so we don't know a huge amount about it, but can ask the previous owner any questions you may have. Good title.
The truck starts and runs. Axles shift. It will slip out of fifth gear when coasting with no load on the gears, according to previous owner. The air brakes seem to be good, and the compressor build pressure quickly.
The steer tires are in excellent condition. Rear tires are fair . . . not new but usable. The box is in very good shape, and the tarp is like-new. I believe the box holds between 500 and 550 bushels.
Air horn works well!
I know it needs a carb kit or rebuild, because the carb does leak.
We don't know for sure how much this truck is worth, so we are open to offers. I know the tarp, steer tires and box are very good.
