Description

Kinda hurts to get rid of this pedal as it was the first multi effects pedal I owned before I went to the infamous RP12 - but that's another pedal story. Have to admit I'm kind of a pedal junkie and I'm very partial to Digitech multi effect pedals. This really is a good pedal with lots of tweaks to satisfy most of the different types of effects you'll want to experience albeit BASIC. Made in 1994 this thing is built like a brick you-know-what kinda house that gets supported by 9V AC power. A little more powerful and cleaner power.

Remember, this was pretty much a pro pedal when it was made - November of 1994 - just in time for my birthday!

With a list price of $699.95, DigiTech's RP-10 is both a signal processor and a solid-state preamp. It updates their own popular RP-1 with a slew of new sounds and features, most notably a built-in expression pedal for whammy effects, wah and volume control, and continuous control of up to 10 effects parameters. The pedal can also control external effects devices via the RP-10's MIDI transmit and send capabilities, which include a device mapping function that allows the RP-10 to act as a MIDI multiplexer for up to four other devices. Boasting a full-frequency bandwidth that you'd expect to see only in much higher-priced units, the RP-10 allows for 100 user presets in addition to the 100 factory sounds. Its 12 heavy-duty footswitches are conveniently laid out in two rows of six, with the back row about a half-inch higher than the front so you won't accidentally step on the wrong switch. The expression/continuous controller pedal is built onto the right side of the unit and is rigged up with similarly durable parts. It comes with a heavy-duty, detachable, multi-pin power cord, and is about the size of a computer keypad (old style pads!).

The unit's analog effects include compression, distortion, EQ, noise gate, and cabinet emulation, while the digital section features reverb, delay, a 1.5 second sampler with a 40 kHz sampling rate, modulation, pitch shifting, and internal mixers that allow you to run effects in parallel configurations.

There's a lot more but you get the idea. And it's in a bullet-proof housing.
