These 12 patterns are from a block of the month series for the quilt called Kansas Prairie Song, which was designed by Mary T. Lees of Topeka, Kansas. Nine patterns contain directions for 2 quilt blocks each. The 18 blocks surround an appliquéd medallion center, which is pattern number 10. Patterns 11 & 12 are for borders and corner stones. All of the blocks have something to do with Kansas. They include the blocks: Kansas, Kansas Troubles, Buffalo Ridge, Santa Fe Trail, Wagon Tracks, Rocky Road to Kansas, Kansas Dugout, Fields and Fences, Windmill, Four Winds, Corn & Beans, Straight Furrow, Flying Geese, Thunder & Lightning, Prairie Flower, Honey Bee, Kansas Star, and Sunrise, Sunset. The quilt finishes at 95”x 107 ½”. I’d be happy to show you my finished quilt if you are interested.
