looking for long-term/full-time farm/chore help:
someone to help put up hay, truck for harvest, run a feed wagon, chop ice, haul water, roll out straw, fill big round bale feeders, grind grain and bales, thisel, fence (hotwire & barb), put out salt/mineral/lick tubs, farm machinery maintenance, farm clean up, chain sawing trees, and some cattle work when needed. ***needs to know how to drive four wheelers (auto and manual), pick ups (auto and manual), older tandom trucks (manuals), john deere tractors 4450's, new holland swather/rack/balers, ford bios.
***can't be scared of leading or holding a horse when extra help is needed, and can't be scared of dogs or cats. ***Ideally would know how to ride, train, break horses to ride and halter break foals
***needs a clean record, and be over 25 years old (this is our insurance requirements)
***must have references from past jobs
***must to be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
***ASOLUTELY NO smoking, NO drugs!!!! reserve the right to test, prefer no drinking no chewing
***ideally would like to find someone from ks or ne so that the cultures, climate, way of farming, and morals are the same as what ours are around here, and its what you are used to, so everyone is on the same page. ***looking for someone WITH experience, maturely responsible and reliable, no non-sense, easy on equipment and livestock. and works, respects, and has loyalty for the brand mentality while here.
***needs to be able to either retain what we say, or given a list in the mornings and go to work, no babysitting. You will be working alone most of the time, with windshield time in equipment alot. So you will have to have the drive and be self motivated.
***has to have some muscle and back bone to be able to with stand lifting 75-100 lbs repeatedly when putting up little squares of alfalfa/brome/straw, salt/mineral bags, setting up corral panels, holding calves/colts. And must be able to roll 250 lb lick tub barrels on uneven ground.
***pay and housing depends person to person, pay by the hour, you get paid every Monday   -if a single guy we have a small bedroom open in our bunk house that is mostly furnished. (Pets stay OUTSIDE, and DO NOT come to work with you!!)
***needs reliable transportation to get to back and forth to work on time
