The City of Ellis is accepting applications for (1) one entry-level General Public Works Employees II (Grounds Maintenance). This position mows all city parks, maintanins/cleans all facilities within parks & properties, maintains playground equipment, keeps grounds free of debris and refuse and also maintains the Ellis Lakeside Campground and Mount Hope Cemetery. The job involves manual work associated with maintaining city grounds and operating department equipment.

This employee may supervise others on specific projects and should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, be an effective communicator and possess public relation skills.  Position requires a valid CDL within 30 days of employment and often involves heavy lifting.

Residency required with a physical Ellis address after 60 days of employment. Drug/alcohol testing required after provisional offer of employment.
