Larned State Hospital is advertising for a Pharmacist position. Excellent working hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5; competitive salary; continuing education support; and State of Kansas Benefit Package. Pharmacist duties include but are not limited to; medication orders and checking monthly rewrites for accuracy. Assist in providing daily supervision of administrative assistants plus professional interactions with medical, nursing, laboratory, and other departments to ensure quality pharmaceutical services. To provide quality pharmaceutical services with respect for human dignity and uniqueness for the consumers of LSH/SSP/SPTP served in compliance with the accreditation agencies’ standards. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principle, of growth and development over the life span and possess ability to assess data reflective of patient’s/student’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to provide pharmaceutical care. Minimum Qualifications: Unclassified. Special Requirements: Current State of Kansas Pharmacist license. B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Accredited School of Pharmacy. Some positions require an approved drug test unless the incumbent is moving from one safety-sensitive position to another safety-sensitive position within the same agency performing substantially similar duties. Preferred Education or Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
