Both my grandfathers served during WW 1 and 3 uncles served during WW 2. This ammo was in some of their things, I suppose they brought it back.  The 12 rounds on the stripper clips are British .303 dated from 1917 and the full box and 3 loose rounds are German 8mm. The 1 single round of 8mm roundnose is a Remington factory hunting round. The full box and 2 loose spitzer rounds are dated from 1939.
