Public Transportation Van for Gove County Residents

The Gove County Medical Center Transportation Van is making weekly trips to Hays with Gove County residents.  The van will be available on Monday to provide transportation assistance to any of the following, but not limited to:

Doctor's Appointments,     Physical Therapy Appointments,    Shopping,    Business,     Etc

The Transportation Van will provide a pick up and drop off service to specified sites on either the 1st & 3rd Mondays or the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month in each of the following towns:

1ST & 3RD MONDAYS:

Grainfield Residents:       Grocery Store

Park Residents:              Catholic Church

Quinter Residents:          GCMC Long Term Care Entrance

2ND & 4TH MONDAYS:

Gove Residents:             Cafe & Grocery Store

Grinnell Residents:          Senior Center

The Transportation Van will leave for Hays at the last pick up site no later than 9am and will leave Hays no later than 2pm each Monday to return Gove County residents to their towns.  Inclement weather (including high winds) will prohibit the transportation van from operating.  We ask that all riders please contact the GCMC Social Services/Transportation Department at 785-754-3335 ext. 141, for possible cancellations.

If you would like to utilize this service, please call the Social Services/Transportation Department at GCMC to book a seat on the van for your town's coordinating Monday trips to Hays.  (We ask that our van drivers not be contacted at their homes to book a seat on the van.  Any calls made to the van drivers' homes will not be honored.)

This is on a first-come first-serve basis.

We look forward to assisting the residents of Gove County for any and all of their transportation needs.  The GCMC Transportation Van will continue to operate Tuesday thru Friday 8:00am -- 5:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am to Noon on a donation only basis for you other transportation needs.
