The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is seeking a highly motivated team player for a Full-Time Deputy Sheriff position. Primary responsibilities include patrolling local cities as well as the rural county, assisting with crime prevention, enforcing traffic laws and regulations, responding to emergency calls, investigating crimes and complaints, providing courtroom security, working in the jail, process services and issuing citations. Individuals applying for this position should have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be capable of working independently.
Applicants must be 21 years of age at time of appointment, possess a high school diploma or GED, be free of felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions, have a valid Kansas Drivers License and be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen. KLETC certification is preferred.
Lincoln County offers a competitive benefit package that includes; heath/dental/prescription insurance, short-term disability insurance, KPERS retirement plan, 10 paid holidays and 144 hours of paid leave time per year. Salary is depended on experience. Successful applicants must reside in Lincoln County within 60 days of employment.
