Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, Kansas, is in search of a Chief Financial Officer for our progressive 21-bed Critical Access Hospital with an attached 45 bed long-term care unit and 10 independent living apartments, employing approximately 200 people. The CFO will provide financial leadership and direction to all departments, have overall fiscal responsibility for the hospital, long-term care unit and independent living unit, and will report to the CEO. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance A CPA or master’s degree and five years of experience and working knowledge in a health care setting, expertise in health care and/or Critical Access Hospital (CAH) operations, and knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations and cost reporting is preferred. Working knowledge of full accrual basis financial statements in a similar position and/or public accounting experience will be considered. The successful candidate must be a strong leader who understands the value of being a team-player, and possess a passion and commitment to quality health care and services in a rural setting.
