Description
We are looking to sell or trade our 1994 Chevy Astro Van EXT.
It is by no means perfect, however, it is a running and functional vehicle to get from point A to B and back again... and again.
It is an 8 passenger van with the extended package. It has two bench seats that are removeable, and it has a tow package.
This is a rear wheel drive, not an AWD. It does just as well, as I've never had any problems.
The van has been sitting for a while as we just don't use it anymore. We recently moved it and it fired right up. It runs good, but it will be needing a few things replaced.
- Could use tire replacements (current tires hold air, just aged)
- Door handles on both the driver and passenger side (outer door handles).
- Cracked Windshield
- Passenger and Driver side window motors.
- Muffler
- Battery
The vehicle has high mileage, over 250K, as it was my business/work vehicle. These are mainly highway miles across Kansas & Colorado.
The clearcoat is weathered and could use a new paint job, but it is only cosmetic.
It had a lifetime brake job which was done by Just Brakes on Circle & N. Platte Ave in Colorado Springs, CO back in 2008. We probably only have about less than 2000 miles on the vehicle since then. The brakes work, they are just overly sensitive. So if you get the vehicle, you can probably take it back to them or any of their other shops and get it redone under the so-called lifetime warranty. We haven't done it, simply because we haven't been back that way since then and there are no Just Brakes in our neck of the High Plains.
Also, I tried to fix the driver side door handle with a new one, Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in the repair. It is new, and I'm sure you may have better luck with the repair than I did. The slider door works fine and that is how we got in and out of the van.
Otherwise, this van is mechanically sound and would make someone a good basic family vehicle or work van. Just put a few dollars into it for a descent gas friendly vehicle. Between the door handles and window motors should only be less than $200 in parts.
Vehicle still books at over $2200 in fair condition. But, I'm not looking to get anywhere close to that especially with the forementioned issues.
