Description

1968 Chevy Camper Special 3/4 ton, 2WD.  327 engine with 4 barrrel carb, automatic trans. Approx. 114,000 miles.  I bought this pickup in 1993 and it had about 93,000 miles on it then, so I've driven it about 20,000 miles in the last 20 years.  Engine runs good, no issues I know of with engine or tranny. Starter has less than 500 miles on it.  Tires and wheels are basically new (less than 500 miles on them), exhaust is new from the crossover back within last 500 miles.  Has power steering (works good) and had factory a/c (all components still there but I think compressor locked around 1996. I cut belt then and never looked at it again), interior is clean and in good shape for this age of vehicle.  Body is straight except for small scrape in left rear of bed and a wrinkle in top of tailgate.  Has overload leaf springs on rear. Radiator has about 10,000 miles on it.

What's bad:  heater core (have new core in box, just never installed); windshield cracked; bed of pickup is wood and the wood is shot (I've just had plywood over it for as long as I can remember; gas saddle tanks (one rusted out and I removed, I have not even tried to put fuel in the other for over 10 years; passenger rear view mirror glass is gone; typical rusted out rocker panels and cab corners for pickups in these years. Right front fender bottom front corner is rusted out.  Brakes work OK, but could probably use some tuneup if you are going to drive it a lot.  Paint is the original as far as I know, getting thin in a lot of spots.

This pickup has been good to me over the 20+ years I've had it, but with kids it doesn't fit enough of them in and it just sits too much and needs someone that will use it more, its getting lonely in its older age!
