Description

2011 APHA black/soild mare "Tari"        $2,500 price reduced to $2,000

She is a great trail horse, good youth/4-H prospect, and has went out and done a days worth of work on the ranch. A great calm minded mare!! (she will sun bleach out a little if no shade, as seen in pic) measured 59 inches or 14.3 hands and growing in July 2014. should mature on out 15-15.2 hands.

Home bred, raised, trained. leads, ties for hours, loads, backs off trailer, easy to catch, baths, fine for farrier, wormer, shots. been over logs, bridges, water, takes the bit nicely with head down. use to having a tight front and back cinch, just saddle and go. also use to spurs, dogs, cats, cattle, traffic, tractors, 4-wheelers, ropes, saddle bags. she will back, pick up her leads, walk up and down hill with you in control of speed and movement,  neck reins nicely for a young horse nice and light, soft and supple in her mouth fairly level on her head carraige, starting to pivot, will side pass, back and "L", and will pony another horse or be ponied. rides in a D-ring snaffle, and rides with leg pressure and rein.

she had 25 rides on her in the fall of 2013 sat 6 months had a new rider and rode her one day for the fun of it (she did perfect) sat for another 3-4 months pulled her out July 28, 2014 and has been ridding almost daily since. Doing great hasn't missed a beat. Calm, quite, learns fast. She rides way more advanced than the number of days on her and has had alot of experience also. Has no problems gathering the longhorns, cutting and sorting them even with the comotion of a honking pick up and working dogs. up to date on her tetnus, tetnus booster, wormer, was trimmed end of May 2014.

Cotton Dixon (APHA black/overo) x Comanche Coal (AQHA black/solid) please see my personal facebook page for pedigree papers, pics of sire dam, dam's parents, siblings and pics and video of her. no DNA done but she should carry the black gene from both parents as 100% of boths offspring and dams sisters offspring have been black based foals. dam also came from 2 black parents that were our stock as well.

if buyer needs horse shipped that is buyers expense, also buyers expense if they need a coggins/health paper $65, if shipper requires a halter/lead $25 in the buyers color choice. Sells with APHA papers, signed transfer paper, brand release, and buying reciept. She is able to be double reg in the pinto assication if buyer chooses after her purchase.

on a fun side note story: how tari got her name; not only is she black like tar, they were re-surfacing and taring the hwy along side my house at the time of her birth (which around here is a big deal) and her dam's name has coal in it as she too is just as solid/black.
