Description

What we have here is a 2wd,‘96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, with a 4.0L. 278,000 miles, all highway miles, and well taken care of. When we bought this, we pulled it into the shop and went through it with a fine tooth comb, and basically gave it a deluxe tune-up.

We changed the oil pan gasket and valve cover gaskets to fix the oil leaks, next we changed the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, and welded a crack in the exhaust manifold. We also replaced the catalytic converter due to the substrate rattling around inside. Then we changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires. We then drained and serviced the transmission and changed the transmission filter, along with the tranny pan gasket. Changed the fuel filter and both front and rear driveline u-joints, and then went ahead and changed the rear end oil and rear end cover gasket. Water pump was leaking coolant from the weep hole so we changed the water pump and accessory belt. We then put a new battery in and a new air filter, and then we noticed the two front tires were pretty wore out so we replaced them along with new front brake pads, the rear tires and pads are still in good condition. The next things on the list was a cracked front windshield and the AC not working, so we replaced the windshield and found that the AC compressor clutch was not engaging properly, so we installed a new AC compressor and charged the AC system. Finally we fixed a tail light and a loose headlight and then test drove it for about a month to make sure everything was fixed and there weren’t any more problems. Now we feel comfortable that she’s ready to sell. With all the parts and work we put into this vehicle and researching the blue book price we’re going to start the price out at $3000.00, but are willing to negotiate. This vehicle would make a great school car or a good reliable vehicle to drive to and from work.
