Description
As of 9/20 10 am, paint mare about 14 1/2 hands, easy keeper, gentle, about 8 or 9 years old. Bay gelding about 8 or 9 yrs old, about 15 hands. 5 or 6 yr donkey, 46" tall, very gentle, handled/crawled on, etc. No buck, kick, sometimes tries to nibble on you. About 10 yr old minature-type pony, 37" tall, led/ridden by little grandkids, no bite, kick. No buck unless a BIG kid tries to get on him. Tie him up and let the kids mess with him all day.
Regarding the horses, I have had them about 5 years after not having any horses for a long time. I would ride the gelding while one of the grandkids ages 8-13 would ride the paint mare mostly on country roads. The grandkids would take turns riding both horses on my property. I always supervised as my grandkids are city kids. This summer my 2 11 yr old granddaughters who are not tall climbed upon the horses by themselves with the horses standing for them.
Both horses stand, back, neck rein. The horses did what I wanted. I wanted horses I could ride and my grandkids could ride. The bay gelding was used for trail rides before I got him I was told. The paint mare has been only on the farm she was raised and my farm.
