Early Childhood Special Educator - Full-time


Registered Nurse: Promote and provide in a professional manner medical assistance, as needed, for healthcare, collaborating with physicians, and multidisciplinary team members. Coordinate and supervise within assigned area(s) the medical and health care services provided to individuals served in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and agency policies. Education - Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse. Experience - One year of professional nursing experience preferred.  Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities is preferred. 

Communication Support Specialist: Provide support to the Director of Development and Major Gift and Planned Giving Officer in supporting the development of and maintenance of materials and activities that promote and support the Mission of DSNWK and fundraising efforts. Education - Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field required. Experience - Proficient in use of technology and social media. Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities is preferred. 

Training Specialist: Conduct staff trainings for internal and external staff as required. Document, grade, and report training data to appropriate agencies. Maintain documentation tracking for training. Ensure staff have met pre-requisites for courses. Notify enrolled staff of training rosters in advance of courses. Review, evaluate, and modify existing training programs and recommend changes for improvement. Develop and maintain quality materials, supplies, and techniques to promote learning and retention of subject matter. Assist other trainers with technical requirements for in-person and virtual training. Maintain and foster inter-agency relationships to benefit training.

Personal Assistant: Teach skills and provide support to individuals served in their home and in the community. Shifts include all days of the week, morning, day, evening, or overnight hours. Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Maintenance Technician: Perform general maintenance of DSNWK properties to ensure an attractive and safe environment for staff and persons served. Five years experience with general maintenance preferred. 

Early Childhood Special Educator: Assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of the early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities within the counties served by Kid-Link.  Actively supervise and provide training and information to the Early Intervention Paraprofessional(s) using evidence based practices for quality services. Assess, evaluate and provide assistance in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) in meeting goals that are driven by the family outcomes desired. Education - Bachelors degree in Education with an endorsement of Early Childhood Handicapped or Early Childhood Unified, required. Certification as a Early Childhood Special Education Teacher required. Experience - One year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in an educational system, preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.  

Vehicle Operator: Provide safe and timely transportation of passengers to their requested destinations. Operate emergency and wheelchair equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of vehicle to be used including the wheelchair lift (if so equipped) and submit report to the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor. Comply with DSNWK policy regarding passenger safety, i.e. require seat belts appropriate rider conduct, etc. Ability to make change and sell tickets. Must balance manifest at the end of each shift.

Store Employees: Supervise individuals served employed, provide training on basic skills, ensure work behaviors are appropriate for the business atmosphere and assist in other store tasks.The treatment of persons served with dignity and respect is a prime responsibility.
