Years ago I got a set of pistons and cylinders that were suppose to be off a 2.2 motor that someone had put a big bore kit on. Last year when I’m getting ready to do a ring and valve job on my 2.2, 911T  I find that the cylinders are bored to 85mm and that the pistons are standard 84mm. 
      Upon disassembly of my engine I found that my pistons were just fine and so did not use these.
     
     The cylinders are just like the ones that are in my 2.2 motor except they are freshly bored to 85mm and have never had pistons in them. The printed numbers on the cylinder skirts are, a diamond with a 6, 503 , WR 06 , and 85Xll in a circle. They should fit both the 2.2 and the 2.4 Porsche 911 engines. The 2.4 does have a longer stroke, so check the numbers to be sure.
