POSITION SUMMARY:Overall responsible for assisting GM withhotel property operations, staffing & maintenance. Responsible for leading, training, and inspiringstaffat the hotel propertyto abide by B & L Motel policies, procedures and Hotel Brand Standards of operation.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE:

•Ensures management and staff is compliant with all B & L Motel policies and procedures. Ensures all state and federal laws are applied to staff and documentation is in place. Ensures staff retention. Handling employment challenges. Ultimately responsible for basic staff hiring, termination, scheduling, employee reviews and HR challenges. Responsible for assisting GM with unemployment disputes. All major issues regarding WC, Discrimination and other major issues need to be reviewed bydesignatedGM, RM &/or CorpHR, as applicable.

•Ensures all staff is delivering exceptional guest service. Ensures all initial and on-going training with all staff, including hands-on training and Choice University training is being completed.Ensuring all staff team members are trained in their duties, policies, and procedures.

•Responsible responding professionally, promptly and with a personal touch to guest complaints and compliments on Choice and third party websites. Ensuring customer service reviews/scores are exceeding brand standards.

•Responsible for accurate ordering, inventory and maintenance procedures. Ensuring compliance of upcoming Brand Standard changes. Ensuring all accurate items are on-site and in good condition to meet Brand Standard compliance reviews. Responsible for assisting GM to ensure property franchise inspections and state/localinspections are being met.

•Ensures spending budget (petty & labor)is met. Ensuring best cost practices are implanted for maintenance on properties.

•Responsible for assisting with general marketing duties, which includes, but is not limited, to develop relationships with local business, travel agents, tour groups, local chambers and colleges and assisting with social media postings for property.

•Responsible for ensuring that all revenue goals are met. AGM may participation in Revenue Management training sessions, meetingswith Choice/Wyndam Regional Representatives and B & L Motels’ RM meetings.

•Ensure OSHA Safety training program is accomplished quarterly. Ensure all food handing safety and liquor/bar state laws are being met (liquor, asapplicable).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•General knowledge of the local area.Must have good command of the English language and good written communication and computer skills, Word & Excel program experience is a plus.

•Must have at least 1 year hotel experince or of an equivalent feild . Must have the ability to problem solve in situations where satisfactory resolution of issues must be achieved. Solid teamwork. Interpersonal skills require the ability to get along well with others and take direction well.

•Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

•Must be creative, flexible and able to work in a hectic environment with competing multiple priorities.

•Physical ability to lift/carry objects, kneel, twist, sit, stand and walk frequently in all weather conditions, mainly indoors.

•Must have a current or obtain a Serv Safe card (food service), TAMS (alcohol server), HOST Cert, and Pool cert, if applicable.
