McCarty Family Farms is currently seeking a highly organized, motivated, and experienced accounting professional/finance officer to join our fast growing, multi-state and family oriented agriculture operation based in Colby, Kansas. This position will have the potential to be flexible and partially remote, making it a great opportunity for an individual willing to commute to Colby 2-3 days per week.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn and grow, as there is a great opportunity for quick growth potential for the right individual to grow into becoming a full charge financial officer.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our company controller to learn all aspects of the business
• Work directly with our bankers, auditors, vendors, and customers
• General knowledge of accounting principals (GAAP)
• Prepare financial statements including multi-company consolidation
• Review vendor statements and reconcile accounts
• General knowledge of taxes
• Perform other related duties as may be requested by the CFO

Job Requirements:

• Ability to accurately prioritize and work independently as well as part of a team
• Pro level experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Highly organized, analytic, and detail-oriented
• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
• Exemplary judgement and discretion
• Great communicator, self directed, and independent

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related subject
