Cobett Waterers are ingroud earth heated waterers that require NO ELECTRIC!  They utilize the wide colomn of ground heat by placing the tub inside the ground chamber, not above it.  They have an open drinking area and easy access to the plumbing.

EASY INSTALLATION - Dig hole, set unit, refill hole with dirt, lay 12" of gravel on top of the ground.

EASY TO CLEAN - Unbolt tub and swirl water around and dump out.

EASY TO BREAK ICE IF NEEDED - Take a ball peen hammer and tap ice.  

The large unit will water 200 head of beef in a dry lot or 100 head of range cows.

Ice thickness in a beef dry lot:  

15-20 head @ -10 F and no wind = 1/2" ice

0-5 head @ +10 F and no wind = 1" ice

No traffic after 3:00 pm @ -20 F with -40 F wind chill = 2" ice
