Cedar Lodge Dental is looking for a hygienist to join our team! Cedar Lodge is a Google and Facebook 5 star rated practice with hundreds of reviews. We work very hard to ensure each patient has an exceptional dental experience. Hygiene experience is a plus but not required. This position is either full or part-time and can be discussed further pending interview. Typical work hours are 7:30AM to 5:00PM Monday-Thursday. Responsibilities may include and are not limited to: 

• Sterilize dental instruments properly 
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
• Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
• Monitor growth and development in children
• Screen for sleep disorder breathing in adults and children
• Take X-rays
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Be willing to become a licensed myofunctional therapist

Skills

• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA/OSHA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Outstanding communication skills, outgoing, kind and compassionate personality
• Attention to detail
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene
• Valid license to practice and certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide
