The City of Russell is seeking professional and community-oriented individuals for a full-time Water Production Mechanic/Relief Operator.

This position includes mechanical repair and maintenance of all Water Production equipment, and act as a relief water operator when necessary. The employee will be provided on-the-job training with opportunities for certification and continuing education and must be willing to obtain at least a Class II Water Operator Certification after eighteen months in the position. Applicant must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brakes. Applicants must also establish residency in Russell County 6 months from hire date. Pre-employment drug screening and job placement assessment are required.
