Position Responsibility:

• Applies herbicide to control noxious weeds or other weeds at the direction of the County Weed Director.
• Must be capable of exercising good judgment when applying herbicides. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs manual labor as required
• Interact with the public in a professional manner
• Perform general maintenance on equipment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma(desirable)
• Valid Drivers License
• Able to Read, Understand, and Comply with manufacturer's labels.
• Full Time Position- take and pass Commercial Applicators exam in Category 6&9a within SIX months of employment.

Working Conditions

• Working alone in fields/roadsides
• Operates pickup sprays
• Maybe required to lift 50 pounds and move drums exceeding 200 pounds
• Monday-Friday 7:30 A.M.- 4:00 P.M.
