Barton Community College seeks applications for the replacement position of Director of Library & College Archives. The Director is responsible for the supervision, management and promotion of the Barton Library and College Archives. Specific tasks include: creating and  implementing library policies, procedures and processes; maintaining current knowledge of Copyright Law; review and purchase of library resources; working collaboratively with faculty and instructional staff to achieve curricular integration of library services and resources; development and maintenance of library services and resources; scheduling of library hours and staff; library staff supervision and professional development; and implementation of archival standards to maintain and develop archive collection. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the scope of library operations is required with the willingness to attain a Master’s degree in Library Science or Library Information Science; Master’s degree in Library Science or Library Information Science preferred.
