TARNOW LATHE--1981 model. 15 horsepower. Presently wired for 240 three-phase. It was purhased new in 1993 by a tool and die shop that seldom had a use for it. I bought it in 2014 and used it rarely. The ways are still like new and everything fuctions the way it is supposed to. PLEASE NOTE that Toolmex in Poland still has every part for this machine in stock and they are readily available through their American distributors. This model has a 22" swing by 60" center to center length. 4" bore through spindle. Number 5 Morse-taper in tailstock. Taper attachment. Comes with a size DA quick-change tool post with four holders that will hold up to 1 1/4" tool holders. Sale also includes a 3/4 inch jacobs chuck with number 5 taper and Royal brand live center that has a number 5 taper shank. I have turning and boring insert holders and hundreds of inserts that fit them. Best of all, I have an Iscar parting tool holder that includes 2 blades and twenty Iscar inserts. All of it is included.
Four-jaw chuck in picture was accidently taken to the salvage yard, so it is not available.
No steady rest, but you can either order a new one from Toolmex or find one on eBay for two or three hundred bucks that any machinist can easily modify to fit this Tarnow.
Price is solid. If you know anything about machine tools then you know that you are getting this lathe for a ridiculously low price.
